Tried Shiner Black tonight, very smooth beer. I enjoyed it.

Ditto on the Negro Modelo being the only good Mexican beer, followed by Bohemia. Corona is **** water, even the locals in Mexico don't drink that bullshit beer. lol. It would be like us importing Milwaukee's Beast over to Mexico and hyping it up like it was the best beer from the USA, when it is one of the worst. THAT is Corona here.

Lol Tony, I must not have any taste. I actually love an ice-cold Corona with a lime. I also like Modelo Especial, Amstel Light, Lawnmower, Blue Moon, Coors Light, and Miller Lite.

I'm not really a fan of dark beers. I did try Guiness one time and that is some rot-gut ****. Bud Light is the absolute worst tasting lager beer IMO. I'd rather drink a hot Lone Star beer than a cold Bud Light. Ugh

Overall what kind of beer each person likes is a matter of personal taste to them. If we all liked/drank the same thing it would be boring.

well i have tried other beers... a lot of other beers. shiner just fits my mood, not saying that its "the best" out there but it is a very good beer. if your one to call people pussies you should go out and try Arrogant Bastard Ale. i drank an entire bottle of that, im not exactly proud but the label actually talks to **** to you. very nasty but i wasnt going to back down from a label. took a 12 pack of shiner to get the taste out of my mouth.

There you go! The dark beer seems to always have "body". Things that really seem to extend the taste senses of your palets *sp*. Where were you able to pick this up Tony? You guys should really try the Young's Chocolate Stout, you'd be in for a treat. Can be found at the Fiesta 249/Willowbrook, Spec's Downtown and a few other places that carry a wide variety.

If we could get some other Red Hook or Stone Brewing beers out here I'd be thrilled...

to mjcotroneo...
Arrogant Bastard is normally in my fridge at any given time along with the only other Stone beer available in TX, the IPA ... I've had the pleasure of having both the Ruination IPA, and the Double Bastard Ale (twice the arrogance, twice the bastard) and I have to admit, I will never regret drinking them often. They're harsh, but the labels speak true.

Instead of Young's Chocolate Stout, I'll recommend Rogue's Chocolate Stout or even Rogue's Mocha Porter, if you can find the Porter, it's fantastic, but a rare site in Houston.

As far as brewing your own, I don't, unfortuantely, have the time to dedicate to it, as much as I would love to get into home brews, it's just not a logical thing for me to do.

and I lined my beer up because that is how I'm spending my christmas eve
