Time to modify

I've just come in to $2750 and desided its time to start working on my '99 Camaro SS VERT AUTO. I'm looking to turn it into hot street car that dependable as a weekend driver. I need an AC compressor which will tie up about $600. So that leaves $2150... where should I start.

I'm new to the forum and HAVE done a search, but I'm not satisfied.
