Sorry to hear that. We had a fox body convertible that we never locked the doors on for that reason. We put a good alarm and a secondary kill switch. I would have rather bought a new stereo than a top.

I know it wouldn't look near as good as having an unmolested top, but do they repair the tops? I would think you could stitch some sort of backing behind the cut & sew it up way cheaper than getting a new top. Kind of like a windshield, I could deal with a few chips & cracks before I'd consider shelling out for a new one.

Sorry to hear about the lost. Been through the same thing several times with people breaking out windows and stealing things. Good luck with finding out who did it. One of the reason we have 125lb German Shepard outside now.

I'm paranoid every day that this is gonna happen to me. At my parents house I'm not worried about it, 4 dogs and not a house in sight, and I can see my car from my room. But when I stay at the Apt I wake up all night to check on it. Watch those thugs walk around all night eyeballing it...

i would bus a cap...lol. seriously, my fox body was broken into at an apartment complex. busted the glass ($100) and took a $40 amp. i was glad they didnt tear the interior up or anything else. o yeah they stole my set of tweeters too that were like $20.

Where im going, its75 dollars, indoor shooting range, gun rental is free, so is your photo, fingerprints and a bunch of other stuff. Only thing you pay for is bullets and I think a box there is like 7 or 8 bucks.

Dude I am so sorry to hear that.
I had my Z71 broken into twice in four days, yeah you read it right I said twice!
The a$$hole did over 300 bucks worth of damage the first time the guy came in through the passenger window, (blew it out totally, I had to replace the glass, the tint and the accuator) to steal some loose change I had in the console and two pairs of cheap sunglasses. One of them being my favorite pair that I had for over 3 years, and they were PINK! Jerk off.... *mutter*
I still get pissed off, thinking about it. I think in total he got 35 bucks worth of change and stuff. Then on the first of Oct they tapped the lock in the door on the driver side, of course they got nothing because I made sure to go through the truck and take out anything even remotely valuable. My boyfriend on the other hand was not so lucky... they tore out his dash to get to the radio head unit, damaged his doorlocks and put a huge crease in his passenger side door. 3500 dollars later, it really sucked because it was Jay's birthday when it happened, we woke up to find that... nice freaking b-day present to him right???!!!
I lived in the heights, after the second breaking I told my landlords I was moving... they let me break my lease two months after I had just renewed. I was out of there 26 days later. My pony is stabled at the shop in pearland (where is gonna stay for a long time) behind razor wire and since moving to a gated community in stafford I have had no problems.

Yeah it sucked his car got broken into, but it was a complete crime of bad luck for zac. The only reason they got his was because it was a vert top, and no worries about the alarm. The reason it got jacked was because it had the gages with out window tint. My car was parked a few spots down from his, and his was the only one broken. He is getting tent, and changed where he parks, and other measures have been taken...
