Jezus you guys, how the hell are you getting so much back. Are you single and put like 5 dependants? I put one on mine and it comes out pretty close each year. I'm not a big fan of giving the government a loan all year long so they can make interest off my money. I would rather put the interest in my own pocket.

Edit: I'm retarded, meant to say are you married with 5 dependants and claim single and 0. I'm still surprised at how much you guys get back. A lot of deductions or what?

I have only myself to claim, I took out max on taxes, knowing that I didn't want to pay like I did last year. This year I made considerably more, so they took like 8-9k out in taxes and I think I should have paid in like 2.5-3k

We'll see, I hope it's good so I can build my motor!

It is ******* stupid since I pay my child support, but they still take my taxes.
Some dumb NM law/rule.....

They get giantic returns because they claim 0 on their W4 and single. So if they make a butt load of money every year and have itemized deductions, then their return will be humongus.........

the more you claim on your W4, the less Fed Withholding they will take.

I pay quarterly and always have to pay a few thou at filing time. I just try to avoid penalties. I do not want either the fed or the state to owe me money at filing time.
