New DS>..... pic.. LOL
He shoots me an email saying hey Ira your DS is here...
LOL
So as most know, I been breaking **** on my currently too short DS, so in order for me to hit my 200 shot this year.. I needed to replace some misc. crap to make sure nothing breaking......
here is the picture of the DS... He is going to try and keep away from me..
I am going to woop his *** on the track this year... LOL

dam yes.. I would not suggest getting on that..
That has been my tail housing's downfall....
The DS.... I have picture I will put up for you when I get home tonight...
but the DS has about 2 - 2.5 inch showing on mine...
So your 3 is really bad... From what I have been reading and learning the past few days..
There should not be much more then 1" to 1.25" showing...
any more then that shows it can cause damage to the tranny especially for the fact of its rotational mass... I know you have an aluminum one, but I would say still be careful..
I also had a bent DS... it had a nice wobble on it.......
so yours might be OK.. but I would definitely look into that for your car..
But from what I found, it does not matter vehicle make, type, year..
that yoke piece should only be sticking out 1 - 1.25"
So I am happy to see it came in a tube like that...
and yes that is really the DS in that box...
**** yes... rock on...

The measurement should not exceed 7/8".
The number one reason to concern yourself with a driveshaft that is too short is safety. From there, it is damage to other components.. if a driveshaft is too short then it is very likely to damage the tailhousing bushing... if not the tailhousing itself.
Glad to see you get a nice piece there Ira. Good luck with it.
