i have a white banner on the front windsheild and one on the back...it was on the car when i bought it (from a local shop) and thought about taking it off...my car is an ex ohp car (black on bottom white up top)...i seen a couple of regular ex hipo cars that were only black and white and thought they looked kinda plain... the only way i would take them off is if they wer replaced with another one, or repainted the whole car...

to let you kinda know what im talking about

p.s. the one on the front fender isnt there anymore

My 02 Aniversary Camaro has decals that are factory, I think they rock! Plus I got a SLP Engineering decal on the front window. I get tons of complimets on the car!
But then there is the Titelist decal on the back glass, but I am a golfer so that makes it ok!

If the decals are done with a little class they look good , if it looks like something off a video game its tacky. Know a guy that has 20 decals per side and the car looks like a joke.

I think it's just like everything else we do, it needs to be done in moderation. Too much of anything will be tacky. JMO I only have two decals on my back glass they are: WICKED MOTORSPORTS and a girl setting on a bowtie. Both of them together take up about a 5"x7" spot on the top of the glass.

Slick Red Z, your car is sexy! I think the decals add to the sexiness!

And yeah. I agree with him. If this is tacky, then I guess I like tacky:

Fast and the Furious-style decals with like 40 things you supposedly "have on your car" is tacky. Narf. But tasteful hockey sticks or ram-air style stripes are great ways to break up the single coloredness. I've seen so many Red Ws6s, I felt I had to do something to make mine stand out. Given, i've seen Red WS6's with black stripes, but that's where the silver outline and the silver/black bird help add that extra tiny detail.

Just my two cents.

If the decals are racing stripes or logos that endorse your active club participation, then no. If it is a decal endorsing some club that you don't participate in, or some brand of parts company, then yes. (Though in my opinion the only good racing strip is a painted racing stripe. Vinyl only belongs in the cabin)

Come on, it's a proven fact that vinyl decals add horsepower and it's been proven true on Mythbusters! If you also add a flux capacitor you almost double your engines output so that's something to consider before buying heads or a cam. Vinyl FTMFW!!!
