Man, from what I've seen, I6 motors are just good all around. I have yet to see an I6 (no matter the brand) that isn't good at what it does....just so happens the Yota ones smack down lots of power. My 250 I6 in my old 84 truck was a bullet proof motor as well.....maybe we need to get some I6 action going

Best I could muster was 7.9 sec run. Used the drag radial (right lane) and had zero traction issues. C5 Z06 = 408ci/heads/cam/N20. Good times with good friends. Had a blast at this event and hope to do again on the next round. There was a ton of good looking rides out at LMP! Woo Wooo!

No doubt the supra guys have suspension figured out, but does the power curve end up being more friendly than how its hitting in the LSX stuff?
I ran a 6.0 easily. I started at a low gear to test traction.. when I went all out it broke third gear

I think the fender rubbing your tire probably caused some unnecessary binding as well, may even be the reason the tranny gave up the ghost. Maybe consider raising it up some or getting some air bags. I saw a pretty nice groove cut into the left rear tire & there was a lot of smoke coming from that side when you were making the pass where you stayed in it.

Don't put in an air bag in your springs. Whenever your ready give me a call and we can get your suspension lined out.

Ok man, it's your car & your money. Simple physics would tell me the added resistance caused by that would be a bad thing.

+1 for setting up the suspension right GoldRust.

You further prove my point. This platform sucks my *** at putting power to the ground. I really want to put a very dumb amount of power in front of a T56, but between the gutts and clutch selection, its hard to keep it rolling. You have all the bells and whistles for the tranny? Level 4 type job? Full manual 4L80 is looking better every day.

I have whatever Joe and Amber thought I would need

They know what I would do to it !!!

here is the graph from my 6.0 run, can see the lag in the beggining starting from low rpm in 3rd gear. I can take second gear to 85 mph, will have to wait for next time to see what difference it would have made.
