Loud rattle coming from the rear

Loud rattle coming from the rear When we bought the car it had a loud rattle coming from the rear. I checked every thing I could think of. The spare tire was first factory amp,shocks torque arm, u-joints.
When I was changing the rear pads I grabbed the lower control arm for some reason and it slid across the bushing and hit the bracket where the lower control arms mount to the rear end(the rattle) I just finished the putting in the new lower control arms and the rattle is gone.
