I think the Tahoe/Denali pans are deep from the factory. It's a good idea to have the extra fluid capacity.

my buddy has a nova with a 5.3 in it and he bought a 7qt moroso pan for it. its nice! its low profile too. he took out the stock pan on a piece of the road
