Went to HRP finally with the car

465 rwhp? Something isn't right. I made that power with the T-Rex cam. I made 420 rwhp with a baby C2 cam. Sure, you're not going to go out there and run your best the 1st time out in a while, but it still doesn't make up for the mph. Even if you were a poor driver, you should have picked up on the big end. What are the specs on the cam? Have the heads been reworked? Compression? What are you shifting at?

I was only launching at 3,000, stock tranny. I think most of my mph time has to do with the gearing and tires. Please correct me if I am wrong. Maybe it had to do with me not being on the track since I was 21 but I don't think that is it considering my mphs are all identical. The car dyno'd at 465 with the FLP headers and 241 heads.

There's lots of HP to be had swapping over to Kooks headers, a real y-pipe or x-pipe, true duals, better heads, and the cam is decent in size for that motor. Between that, the low shift points, and head wind, explains why your ET isn't where it should be. Spin that baby to 7000+ and put some real tires on it. 26" slicks will do the trick. That car should do mid 11s with no problem.

What gears are in it to be hitting limiter in 4th at 115mph? 4.30-4.56's?????
With near stock height tires (315/35/17), 4.11's, and 6800rpm limiter, mine went 124.5mph in 4th. That's standing on the limiter at the 1000' and riding it out. I would check something out, doesn't seem right. With that power, even with no 60' and full weight, you should be trapping over 120mph.
PS - LS3 heads/intake are getting cheaper every day and will fit just fine on your 4.030 bore.

The numbers are low due to the 241 heads that have been worked over but still small and the crappy FLP headers with very restrictive cats/y pipe. I had to shift into 5th right before the finish line with me shifting around 6800. Redline is at 7k. I have a Strange 12 bolt so no worries with the rear end. Specs are 244 248 612/615 11?LSA and compression is 11.1. Mikey told me that everything sounds right with the stock heads and crappy exhaust.

How about we meet halfway and I try to shift at about 4k? I don't know when I am going to take it back out. I want to finish fabbing up the dumps first. When I am ready, I will definitely hit you up with some advance notice so that we can get some better tires on the car.

I am pretty sure it is YOU who does not know what you are talking about.... That guy has owned a few cars before going with a Cobra, and he is just Tech's resident smartass....
and plus, they are all from the oldschool

I would guess that the car would run low 11s with ease with some good tires and a decent 60ft. My A4 car makes significantly less horesepower than the 408 car but with MT et DRs, I am cutting 1.60s and going 11.4Xs @ 119mph. My shift points are stll set pretty low (5800) as well...
If that car can run 124ish...it should be in the high 10s I'd think. Also, the big wheels and tires might be part of the culprit too...I thought I read that you are on 18s? Either way, it is pretty obvious that the car has more in it.
