Thanks for the pics. I've always been one to have interests in the past and this is worth saving in my HD (with your permission of course). Wish these were in color but beggers cant be choosers.

Anybody notice that even after the 1967 date there were no Firebird, Camaro or Mustangs in the pics?

Wait, update, in one pic I think there are even three 3rd gen's on one pic and even one of those Gran Turino GT's, can you guys spot them?

Anyone from the southside remember having to use the tunnel to get to HRP? That's the way we had to go when I was in high school.

This pic seems so pleasant compared to what is going on there today.

A lot of the refineries and chemical plants in Pasadena were here well before any of those photos were taken. That area just isn't shown in these pics.

I remeber the tunnel going to Baytown. I always thought it stunk so bad and I tried to hold my breath as long as I could.

I was just commenting to my 19 year old son that this verifys what I've told him that back in the 80's even you hardly saw many foreign cars in Houston. Back then it was about 80% domestic or more. Out here in Tomball/Magnolia it was about 98% made in USA. I wouldn't be surprised to see it's 50% or less now. How do we wonder why our economy is falling apart?

Cool pics.

its pretty hard to find a car thats 100% built in the u.s.a also. everything on the road has a small % of foreign content.

Yeah that's the way it is now, you couldn't buy 100% made in USA if you wanted to. Cars, appliances, electronics, etc.
