Car Accident,Please Advise
So I was coming out of Houston Raceway Park, and just driving normal not going fast or anything and came up too the train tracks and I slowed down, so the guy behind me does too but the guy behind him doesn't so he slamms into the guy behind me, and he slams into me in his Silverado.
My car drives fine, and the rear bumper isn't caved in, but it is cracked and has a small hole, because the guy in the silverado hit me at an angle. The guys truck got fucked up in the front and back, his front bumper got bent and dislocated and his rear bumper was pretty bad too. The guy in the Jeep was fucked, his whole front bumper fell off and I guess his radiator was cracked.
I got allot info from the guy who caused the accident, his license number and insurance policy etc.. So what's next? The state trooper filled out the accident report and gave the basic info to get ahold of a copy of the accident report. The guy had Geico. Over all my car is fine and I have a pain level on a scale from 1-10, 2 on my right side of my back.
Please advise me on how to handle this since its my first accident. Where do you guys recommend I get my car fixed, what's the correct procedures to follow. Also the guy in the Silverado had his truck dropped and didn't get the show car insurance, will he have insurance problems, will these cause any for me?
When you talk to Geico DO NOT answer any questions about details of the accident over the phone and especially don't say you arent hurt, cause in a day or two it might be a different story. Have them mail you a copy of the questions to fill out. Fill them out, make a copy for yourself and mail it back. Geico will recommend a shop for you to get your car fixed at, you do not have to take it there. The choice is yours and they are expected to pay unless they feel the charges are way marked up.
As for your car, I'd wash it tomorrow and give it a good lookover. Since you got rear ended check where the frame connects to the black bumper support that is behind the bumper cover. Usually those tend to bend a little if you get hit hard enough. Make sure the front of your doors dont rub the front quarters, make sure the sail panel part is still even with the top of the rear quarters on both sides. My 96 Firebird was rear ended and the initial damage looked minor but once I cleaned it up and checked it out I realized just how screwed I was. That car got totalled but I retained title.
I have been in 3 major accidents, all not my fault, and still continue to learn how insurance companies try and screw you over. Geico really tried giving it to me when the lady ran the red light and totalled my WS6.

WS 666, when you say got your car totaled what do you mean, Sorry I dont understand. Does it mean you got the car paid for by the insurance company? Also what happened with the car? Was there problems trying to sell it since it had been in am accident. Did this affect the title change?

Totalled means the repairs were more than a certain percentage of the value of the car. Usually when people total their cars the insurance company gives them a little under blue book for them. Your car sounds like it has minor damage so you shouldnt have to worry about that. Obviously the repairs done to your car might show up on a Carfax or Equifax report. If it is just replacing the rear bumper thats no big deal. You don't need to worry about any of the title stuff either.
My neck was also hurting a little while we waited the 2 hours for the police to come then later on that night I had pretty bad shooting pain. Neck was sore for a few days afterwards and if you let them know when you make the claim they will compensate you.
So my suggestion would be to go ahead and call and not wait for the police report call their insurance now.

are you sure its a 2 out of 10 lol
jk i would just call the insurance company but if that pain does get worse for real then you know what to do
