Race what you have if you want. I always have, even the VW bug I had.
You just have to be selective about your competition. It isn't like everyone's mommy and daddy will buy them fast cars (or a car at all) when they're young. As far as I know its always been, "Run what you brung."
Hell, I jacked with a newer Mustang GT in the 170k mile 01 Grand Am GT we had. I was setting at a light and some young buck pulled up in the lane next to me and kept rolling forward and back (it was a standard). I figured he was pretty green and I could get him out of the hole so it was on. The light turned green, he hammered it and spun like I figured and I jumped 3 lengths in front of him and was laughing at him so hard I could barely drive at the point. No I didn't keep that lead, but its gotta suck to think your a bad *** just to have an old guy in a stock V6 4 door jump you like that then laugh at your a$$ as you try to get by him.

yeah don't **** with usd2sing i've seen one of his V6s and it shakes like a cammed v8.
but i've been in a couple V6s. don't hate. my mommy didn't buy me any car i wanted. i had to work for it. and racing is racing. i feel a rush even if i'm in a V6. i enjoy it. like someone else said. run whatcha brung.

Also, I dont need to race my car to know that v6 firebirds are slow. One of my friends back in high school had a v6 97 camaro and he drove it like he owned a damn vette. I was in that car numerous times going WOT. And we barely past cars driving normal.
