its really to bad that it only takes one guy to turn a simple thread upside down with some silly comments.
nothing constructive to say, definately no informative info, no supporting advice, an elitist demeanor,
and with all with what appears to be no actual experience in what most of us consider a fun passtime.

just silly.

as others have mentioned a few times:

to the OP, sorry one of your first threads started on the board got so jacked up.
its a good place, dont let things like this sway your impression.

lmao. im a troll? I posted once and was going to leave it at that, but damn right when someone replies to me, im going to reply back. We have different opinions. I agree that it can be fun to race a fast car, but a v6 firebird, I just cant see it. you saw the videos that I posted. howTF could that possible by fun?
\
has anyone said anything constructive in this thread? not really, he lost to a rsx, what is there to say? better luck next time?

We didn't specify track or street, we simply said 'racing'. You said you don't 'race'.

To the OP, keep on having fun in what ever you have man, in time, you will get opportunities to get better cars that will be faster. We all start somewhere.....I just so happened to start in a clean *** 98' Mustang GT auto. It was slow as hell compared to the LS1 cars....but was pretty quick in it's class, although V6 Fbods would give me a decent run depending on the driver.....as for the racing aspect, you can have a **** ton of fun racing in slower cars, you can get very consistent ET's & which is very good for bracket racing. I have won a few trophies in mine back when I'd go out to LSR on Wednesdays. I even made it to the money at a Fun Ford Mod motor event & knocked that raving bish Roxanne Shepard out of the 1/4 finals and that was my first time at a 1/4 mile track & first time to ever even learn what a Pro Tree was, lol. Needless to say I was hooked.

You can make that V6 fast, but ask yourself if that's what you want, if not, don't dump the $$ into mods on something you really don't want, just save up & get what you want....my advice, keep the V6 for daily duty & maybe even setup the suspension & autox it

I've = I have = past tense. I have raced at the track/been around racing, but am not currently racing a car. (its been yrs)

also, I said this...

which doesnt mean that i've never raced a car, just never have on the street.

Reguardless of our discussion. I honestly hope the OP stays with it and becomes interested in it. I've owned 5 fbodys, after each one I always end up getting a better/faster one. I agree that you have to start somewhere.

Back when I had my LT1 trans am, a 98-up firebird came up right next to me at the red light while I was getting out of work, the guy revved the engine many times... I just waited for the green and went on peacefully.... guy kept on revving while I ignored him.... this went on for about 12 minutes, I am serious.... 12 F!@#$G MINUTES! Just picture that, you're on the highway now, and there's this annoying NBM firebird with the trucks dual tailpipes revving the heck out of the 3.8 wanting to race.... he must have thought that since he had the new body style, his car was faster than my Old LT1 trans am...... well after those 12 minutes I just got tired and got on it...... I just pulled and pulled many car lenths... I could see him all the way far back there..... it didn't even seem like a race except for the rumbling sound his car made from the loud exhaust.... I mean, he couldn't had passed his car as a Formula, you could easy tell it was a v6..... I slowed down to the speed limit and then there he was again, it came again on the side........ same story... two days after we had an encounter again, but this time he was that one to go peacefully right after the green light turn on. My car was a full bolt ons LT1.... it was fast.... at least to me....

Maybe he just wanted you to rev back haha. I'll throw revs to other F-Body owners just to say "whats up" but I think its a general rule that you say "forget it" after someone not responding after the second time.... 12 minutes is just excessive, glad u shut him up regardless if he wanted to race or was just saying "hi" lol.
