I went with a rollmaster double roller set-up on my car. No clearance issues with the ASP pulley (f-body, not y-body) and it hasn't given me any trouble since installation.

how much did you pay for the LS2 set? you can find the comp cams kits for $100.00. As far as issues, i was referring to installation. Ive heard its hard to get the spacer between the pickup tube.

The LS2 chain will suffice, it's beefier than the LS1. You can find the timing chain itself for under $40 and the set for a tad over $90 (Texas Speed and Performance.)

thats good. Ive heard the LS2 is good but id rather spend the extra $10 and go double roller. More of a hassle to install but I think its worth it.

It isn't an extra 10 bucks because you can run just the chain ($40) instead of having to buy a complete set ($90).

yea i just replaced the chain.. a stronger chain will be fine, i dont really see see the actual gear breaking on a basic motor setup..

well worn gears could be an issue too.

we have the crane double roller on Tams car. I installed it in car and installed a new oil pump with the "red" spring while I had it apart. Didn't even un bolt the oil pan from the motor, just bend a 10mm wrench to fit the pickup tube, and have a magnet handy cause re-installing it will take a couple trys.
