Default Questions about running straight pipe

This weekend i got tired of my flowmaster and the humming sound it makes so i decided to cut it off since i plan on getting true duals in the coming months. It is actually quieter inside the car at 60-70 mph now then it was with the flowmaster. Its not as obnoxious at that speed and is loud like i like down low with alil vibration but not much at them moment. My questions are:

1. Will it hurt the car running it like this untill i get the exhaust put on it?
2: Ive noticed theres alittle bit more power higher in the rmp range. Is it just me casue it sounds louder and faster or has anybody else noticed this also.
3. Anybody that has doe this have you noticed a big mpg difference was it slightyly less or to samll of a difference to car about.

I forgot to mention that the pipe is a piece that comes to about 6-8 inches away form the rear end that had a dump clamped on it but i guess i forgot to tighten the clamp down and it fell off somewhere. I also wanted to know if having it pointed at the rear end was a bad idea. Any help would be appreciated.

You will not hurt anything... the differences will be more pull on top end and little bit of loss on the low end.. your gettin rid of any back pressure

That's almost like running a cutout. You're fine.
