How is it slang? I've only ever seen it used to describe a fixed roof coupe. Personally they are my favorite because I don't like the long f-body-ish rear window to the standard C5.

ever think its been taken a little to far. for example: what if i wanted to say

I feel the same about the word "stall". As in: " I got my new stall installed today and it kicks ***!"
It is not a "stall" it is a torque converter. Stall is what it does, not what it is. It is like saying... "I got my new torque running today and it kicks ***!"
Kinda like nails on a chalkboard to me....
