The T/A was my mothers car. Not trailered in. We were trying to figure out why with M/T drag radials at 12lbs in the tires, they were still spinning theirs asses off with a 3500 launch. I was trying to drive that damn thing but it would not hook up. We did noticed that the tire is spinning a little on the wheel. We're going back in a couple of weeks to try something new. I had a recommendation to try a higher tire pressure, 17lbs to be exact. It has a new clutch in it with almost 1000 miles. Don't think that the clutch is slipping because at 6500 it goes smoothly into gear and no problems at all with gear shifting. Don't know for sure but something's not right.
But I did see that "clifford" had a lovely backfire.
my bad i just thought the car was with a truck and trailer all night and it is OBVIOUSLY got cutouts which contributed to my ASSUMPTION.....the track was not good to START with it appears it came around later but we had to go and my tranny was getting hot and went into limp mode during a burnout....
and clifford let a HUGE BURP out scared the hell out of the track guy right next to my truck.....he and i both thought it was "RAGE".....thus far virg says nothing is wrong....i pray it stays like that....

the guy in the lanes told me at the end of the nite that he knew i couldent hook those soft compound street tires...he said he was sure i needed slicks to hook...guess he was wrong
yeah i was referring to yours.....can't believe that turd virg didn't give us a formal introduction.....sorry i missed the SKY LAUNCH......i was spinning the slicks out of the hole on motor which i have never done before.......i dead hooked em on a 200 shot off the converter at ennis 2 weeks ago.....glad the track came around for you it appeared you were getting frustrated not being able to finish with the 60' dial in.....i say a SKY LAUNCH is DIALED.....
i still have some tire issues to sort out and get a 2 stage setup ironed out.....SOON

What tranny mods do you have?
the trans is a full build by Phoenix Trans in Weatherford Tx just west of Fort Worth and i have a custom billet converter they build as well.....top flight guys.....
but if you are looking for the ultimate....."NEVERENOUGH" (Martin ***) with the TBSS that went 10.63 in Memphis and has gone 10.21 since had a RPM Level V in his and it was "PRESTINE" when rodney tore it apart after Martin went to a 4L80E......
i use phoenix because i have access to them and they have kept it going upgrading as we have experienced trouble.....it works for me but others have failed using their setups......
for some more platform specific knowledge come over to tbssowners.com......

if it wasnt the clutch slipping the rear end shoulda been loose when the rpms jumped and you woulda noticed...of course i guess that rear coulda been toasted and only been spinning one tire...
Well I do know for a fact both tires were spinning during all of the burnouts. The only description I can give during those runs down the track was it was "weird" feeling. I've been doing this for years and years and have blown up plenty of stuff and this has me stumped.
