Default Replace rear main seal this weekend???

Can anyone in Houston replace rear main seal for under $300? If so, please PM. I know where I can have it done for $300, but they don't work on weekends and I really hate leaving my car overnight during the week and rushing after work to pick it up before they close.

Let me know if anyone can do it this weekend or the next.

Thanks

jess

Can you do this work or are you commenting on the fair price?

Wish you were in CS. I would help out. I'll be moving to Houston soon but not as soon as you'll need it. When I have access to a garage and my tools I usually tend to try to help people out with things I've done in the past. I replaced my rear main seal maybe a month ago. You can do it yourself just be patient (IF you have tools).

300 isn't a bad deal but hopefully you can find something this weekend.

Is yours a4 or 6spd?

Try searching a write-up on this maybe you can save 3 bills and do it yourself. I bought the manual from AZ to help me out working on the car.

My rear main seal leaks too and I took it to Vara Chevrolet to get fixed since I have warranty. Seems like it's still leaking slightly and I'm not sure if that's part of the reason my clutch sticks to the floor after I go WOT. No drill mod for me yet
