Aren't the NHRA Street Legal nights just like a test and tune? I know I've been to them before, I just forget.

I may head out there if the weather permits.

What's the deal on the helmets? Are they pretty strict? I have a bone stock '04 C5 M6, can you rent one from the track?

They're usually pretty strict about the helmets, 13.99 or faster

You can't rent any but they have a few for loaning out, just have to leave your drivers license with them. They all get loaned out pretty quick though, so don't count on that.

No problem. They usually ask if you have a helmet when handing out the time slips. There have been a few times when they didn't ask me (running low 12's.) If you go through twice without one, I guess they kick you out. The announcers usually come over the loud speaker when someone returns a helmet to let everyone know they have one to loan out.

I think there were only 3 4th gen f-bodies running and maybe 30 cars total so hot laping was not a problem all night. Free nitrous night so our group filled about 7 bottles
