Default Lets talk Banking. Who do you prefer?

I have Wells Fargo, but i am not impressed at all with them any more. They have crap customer service, have low return rates, and are expensive.

So Im thinking about switching to Wachovia or Washington Mutual

I have had WAMU before and they were alright, but i was thinking Wachovia this time.

Any opinion on the two?

The only complaint I have about WaMu is they charge me for taking money out of ATM's that aren't theirs. Not only do I get charged the $1.50+ from the ATM, but WaMu charges me another $1.50 per withdraw.

I heard good things about Century Bank. Open 7 days a week, free ATM's, plus they put $77 into your account when you create a new one with them.

One of the main clincher is a high interest for savings, free checks and ATM withdrawl for checking

Any recomendations?

This is my favorite topic. Maybe because I work for one. LOL Wamu blows and so does Wells Fargo.

Get ING direct. I have direct deposit into them and their atms are free. THe only downside is there arent any branches here. You can link another bank to them and transfer your money to them. Also their interest rate on a savings account is around 5%.

Well i just saw that chase has 4.24% interest rates, which is i think the leading rate right now, and plus I heard Wachovia is getting ready to get a big slap on the wrist.

Yes I love ING Direct, but no locations locally. And I dont want to sweat over juggling two bank accounts to have the advantage of one.

When the interest rate is 5% and I earn anywhere from $100 to $130 a month of free money on interest, I think I will sweat it, lol.
