Honestly. I wouldnt worry about it so much. Come out and tell her, "some **** went down and im short on cash right now". I cant even tell you how much **** girls have bought me. If they like you and they have money, they dont care.

You can also put everything you buy on credit card. Just pay the minimum and you will be fine. It will take about 30 years to pay off the cards...
