Yes I understand that I have linked the car back several owners, but the most recent one Tifton will not answer my calls, and said it was tuned by RPM Motorsports in Dallas. I called them to ask about the car and said it took 3 days to tune the car, and had to buy a new PCM for it(meaning Tifton messed something up, and took it to them to re tune it and couldnt do it because the computer had another operating system on it hence them buying a new PCM for it....so now as a conclusion the car was tuned by RPM)

Found a RPM dyno sheet in the glove box the car only has 100shot jets and the car only put down 462 rwhp. It DOES have a nitrous tune, but still thats no excuse for making less power than a LS6 cam.

Car was owned in this order
1-RiddlerLs1
2-Powerhouse
3-Tiffo60
4-SHINER(me)

So Im not trying to bash any buisness here, I just need to find out how I can log into the PCM and retune it properly, cause the last tune was not only horrible but embaressing. I just need to find out whats wrong with the car, not start bullshit drama, ya know.

You can probably send the PCM in to HpTuners or the ls1 edit guy to get it put back to stock. Then you can have it retuned by a shop of your choice. What was the A/F up top when you said it was so rich?

Id have to ask to be completely honest with you, the tuner just told me it was running fat uptop.

You think a GM tech at the dealership can reflash it, so I can retune it?

Uploaded a EFI log from previous owner.

I had a tune by TRT redone by another tuner, all he did was take it to GM to reflash the PCM and good as new.

Try that first... regardless you need to pay for a new tune considering what is all wrong with that one.

Also... as stated, RPM does not use EFILive and it sounds like the original owner tweaked on it a bit, VOIDING any work by RPM.

That may be the case.

I think It just needs to be reflashed, and have 5* more timing added to it with the Rev limiter set around 6800-6900.

I'd set the rev limiter a little past that so you can get better use out of the cam. But that's just me

I would agree if my rod bolts gave me the okay. I think 6900-7K would be max for me to be on the safe side.

Cammed LS1s make their power around that range

If my past H/C 141K mile motor can spin 6950 rpms, im sure this 69K mile cammed car can do it aswell.

Obviously something is off with the tune, but I'd do a compression and leakdown test to make sure all is well within the cylinders.

I wonder if a ASR/TCS scenario created this problem.

You can take the car to a dealership and have it reflashed to factory settings, Then tune it however you chose. I have done this with several cars. One was tuned by RPM and it was tuner locked but they can't lock out a dealership. They will probably charge you a scan charge. I had mine done for $20 but I had a buddy that was the master mechanic there. The other was a new pcm I put in a T/A and just had them flash it back to the VIN on the car body. That's why I tune my own !!! hope this helps. Good Luck

the previous owner could have asked him to do it, maybe there is more hiding in the settings that you dont know about the car

It's because they don't want anyoneelse stealing their secret street car tunes... Or perhaps other shops having a chance to look at their tunes...
