waaah waaah waaaah. Buncha pansies. Physics and math are easy. Chemistry sucks though

Those who haven't decided on a major yet, stick with engineering. That way we don't see more waaah waaah threads in a couple years about your low starting salaries in non-engineering degrees

Got my engineering degree from LSU 3 years ago and I still hate physics

You can give me a job with my physics major in a couple of years.

Mechanics and Heat (Calculus based for Engineers is not fun at all.) Neither is Fluids or Statics.
I liked statics and I didn't think fluids was too bad.

Now differential equations and Quantitative analysis... i hated.

Overall = 3.61
Major = 3.35

Its funny how many people you see drop out of engineering after the first few semesters. Most wanted to do it because they thought it would pay decent, but then they are too lazy/not dedicated. Its easy if you are that type of person, you just have to stick with it!

I could, but that degree would put you at the bottom of the stack, behind every single engineering degree that is applying for the same job

That is a really good program from what I hear

Chemistry was a cake walk, but transport phenomena sucked *****. Enjoy the basics while they last. Junior year was ftl in ChE.

Congrats to all the kids graduating this year. Class of '08

Hey, NASA and its subcontractors hire science majors as do the plethora of energy companies around the Houston area.

Make sure you are comparing apples to apples. An undergraduate degree in pure science such as physics will almost always net a significantly smaller salary when compared to undergraduate engineers. Most "science degree" hires are have MS/PhD.

I got a "B" in engr. Phys. and I was happy with that, lol. I have some school left but just got hired at Mustang and I LOVE it. I am 24 and still not done with my M.E. degree but it's already paying off. Stick with it if you can!

I am aware of this. I do intend on going to graduate school.
