DarkHorseSS????? lol jk........ Just read some history, although I believe the past is the past, I also believe history does tend to repeat itself. Heres a little history on Coach Phil Jackson:

Jackson-coached teams are 40-0 when they win the opener of a seven-game series

Not to discredit the Lakers, they have awesome talent and are a very good team, but the Spurs choked and gave them that one.

Anyone would come back and win it if the other team only scores 7 or 8 points with that much time left.

It's like the Spurs didn't even want to try and go in the paint. Spurs built a brick house on the rim from all those unecessary three pointers.

the drought was coming. even the announcers mentioned that so much game had gone by without the Spurs doing one of their classic scoring droughts.....then it happened.

they do it once every game for 5 minutes or so. Lakers play great defense and have the best closer in the game so it exploited it even more.

ginobili and parker only had like 10 points in the paint also.

i saw that also.. popovich and the spurs could never beat the lakers even when the spurs had duncan/robinson. and they aint gonna beat them with a bunch of 40+ year old dudes..

HAHAHA.. the radio stations keep using the lakers resting and spurs not resting as an excuse...LOL..bottom line is the spurs were playing good and the lakers were awful..and if they never went 7 games with the hornets then they would have gotten rest

Wow, Lakers band wagon got brave from one game. I'm not worried at all because the Spurs showed what they can do against this match up in the first half. If the Lakers play a slow tempo game and play Tim on single coverage and Manu and TP do their part it's over. It took a lot of good D and aggressive offense to build that lead. LA had a no show for a point guard which is a big advantage for us.

Only let down was Parker and Gino didn't show up the second half after they had to do it every game against NO because Tim wasn't.

If i'm on the Lakers i'd be worried that it took the Spurs to have that bad of a half and the Lakers still barely beat them in the end. We all know the Spurs don't play that bad every game. They proved that the last two series.

why would the lakers be worried? kobe wasnt aggressive at all the first half, and plus u seen all the sloppy play of the lakers. ginobili is so inconsistant, but i know to all the spurs fans hes the most exciting player they have ever seen ever!! ..well we all know parker cant hit a jumpshot to save his life.. thats why he missed every jump shot in the 4th.

CHAMPIONS DONT BLOW 20 POINT LEADS!! ESPECIALLY ON THE ROAD, AND THE WAY THEY WERE BLOWING OUT THE LAKERS.

was a joke from the SA/NO thread when NO beat the Spurs by 19 and 20 at home, but SA fans refused to call it ownage.

And since SA was up by 20 at one point and BLOW it, I think THAt's a good point to be called owned....

All in good fun!

I agree with a few of your statements.

I think of Kobe wanted to, he could take over damn near any game he wants. He's trying to play team ball most the time to get his teammates into it. But when it comes down to needing some points. That ****** is bad. Thats what worries me. I do agree that one of the only reasons why we got that lead is bc kobe wasnt attacking/shooting etc. Once he started. It was game over.

And manu is inconsistent as ****. I personally dislike him.

Parker cant hit a jump shot? You must not have watched the last series. It has improved over the yrs. Sometimes players are on, sometimes they arent.

And what is this "champions dont blow 20 pts leads ESPECIALLY on the road?". ****, a 20 point lead is easier to lose on the road then lose at home. If the home team gets on a run and the croud gets into it. Its hard as **** to get that momentum back.

Either way. I hoped we were going to get that game. Would have been nice to steal home court. Its going to be hard, but I think SA can win this series. Didnt any of you SA haters learn not count out the spurs this early yet? Its just 1 game guys.

On a side note. I ******* hate NBA refs. They are inconsistent as hell. Some player can get hacked-> NO CALL. Then someone gets a foul call when they werent even touched etc. I dont get it. Thats one thing that I hate about the nba, the lack of consistent "correct" violation calls. That **** can decide the game.

I dont think any of us denied that it was ownage. We were just pointing out that NO got owned in the other games. But some of you thought that since NO won by ~20 and SA was winning by ~15 that only NO was "doing the owning"<-wtf . Losing by ~15+ pts is ownage either way you look at it.

haha..man donohue, im surprised u said you hate manu..LOL.. every f*ckin spurs fan think hes michael jordan or something. as for parker, yeah his jumpshot got a little better, but i really dont think parker is good anyways, i mean yeah hell make some crazy shots, but oh well..

yeah its game 1, but man, this isnt an inexperienced team. this is a team that was won championships and is well coached. u cant be giving away games like that.

kobes performance shows why he is the best player and that lebron james is nowhere near him. i liked how to kobe, it didnt matter who popovich was gonna put on him, he know he was gonna eat him alive..

did u see manu get shook bad!!!

No I think I missed the shake.

As far as LA be experienced. I dont agree. Only Kobe/Fisher were on the team when LA was getting those championships. SA did **** up by giving them that game. We'll see how they come back in game 2.

Parker is pretty damn good. He is one of the best PGs when it comes to finishing at the hoop. I think that 90% of the time when he has an openish jumpshot, that he'll hit it.

Damn we completely gave this one away. I was surprised how well the spurs defense was 1st half. Second half they went back to their wreckless ways. Damn Gino20 was horrible and I was like pound it to TD but they want to shoot. Fk it but that's where they get themselves into trouble.

THEY NEED TO SWING THAT BALL AND CREATE OPEN LOOKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They want to give one away to a team on the road well they don't deserve to win this series.

Spurs should take game 2...
