Western Finals 08.... I'm so glad the spurs slapped that young and tough NO team in their mouth on their own home court..

Should be an exciting and tough Western Finals for SA/LA but I think as a team the spurs are tougher mentally and will prevail. We all shall see

yea, i was kind of worried there for a minute when NO began closing the gap, but then everytime the fouled to stop the clock it backfired with Ginobli sinking his free throws and that pretty much sealed the deal. I would love to see the Spurs win it again.
I said it first, that you have to get through last years champs before anything, and thats why i said that i would rather have my LAKERS plays the Hornets rather than the SPURS! I hope we destroy the SPURS but its more than likely going to be a tough battle to get to the FINALS, and even then, the east coast aint no joke neither, if the LAKERS or SPURS advance, its not going to be an easy Cleveland team like it was last year, Boston/Detroit aren't playing around. And as much as Boston sucks right now in the playoffs (going to 7 games each time), they still stomped on the West Coast teams this year and they will have home court advantage in the FINALS... so i dunno. We'll just have to wait and watch.

Oh yea, i forgot to mention... not sure if you know this guy, but he was a starter for the LAKERS until he broke his foot. He is a premier defender (young version of Bowen) and he is extremely athletic (look on youtube), his name is Trevor Ariza!! And i just read something from the LA TIMES:
Ariza (broken foot), who has been out since January 20, is expected to return in the Western Conference Finals, the Los Angeles Times reports.
The teams went 2-2 against each other this season, the Lakers winning the most recent meeting, 106-85, at Staples Center a few days before the regular season ended.

still would have loved to seen NO/LA..

Not calling out anyone here, but the Lakers and Celtics got a LOT of bandwagoners since their little pick ups.
LA is playing better than Boston to me. They didn't even have the entire season to gel like Boston did.
