This job was doing building maintenance on 6 buildings in the DFW area and one in Arlington. I did little to no AC work, I changed a lot of light bulbs lol. Changed locks, re-keyed locks, fix toilets, pick up trash outside, etc. All the buildings have maintenance offices you can hide out in. I just did whatever, thats what they told me to do, until a work order came in.
One thing I didn't quite get was when they told me if the A/C breaks down and it's something I can't fix, they have an outside company come in to fix it...in all my other jobs I was that outside guy that would come in.
I do have 16 years in HVAC and 6 years of major schooling, and a bunch of other misc small classes.
But I'm not in Texas anymore, I had to come back due to family health issues. There is nothing for work here, I'm coming back to Texas as soon as I can.
I bet its FUN working in the summer here. Cause when they need to get the ac fixed, it is usually 100 outside lol or 150+ in the attic!!!
Thats why this job I was talking about earlier was great, no attics, if the roof top unit went down I had the option to call someone else.

Theres got to be something you guys can do. First time I went there I got a job at Hanson Brick, and I was on vacation didn't think I'd get it.
I've been back in FL for a month now and a few days ago I got a call from a body shop in Weatherford. Walmart has called me four different times.
I have at least 20 applications passed out around here and no one has called, look on the craigslist for this area and there might be 10 listings and some are people looking for work. Look in the DFW section there is at least a whole page per day, usually more.
