Got an new DD finally I found an 05 buick rainier 5.3L v8 AWD and fully loaded. NBM in color light tan interior it runs awesome and got it right. I gave 13200 for it with 15K miles. I got a 200.00 hoopty for a work truck and got this for my dd. I have not had it much over a few hours but the gas mileage is bound to be better than my k3500 on the plus side it will haul ***.........and groceries and my daughter and luggage. It still has the factory plastic on the carpet and the rear seat I got it from a professor at UT of all places. He moved up to a AMG benz to replace it.
The 6 cyl versions of those do pretty poorly. My mother has an 05 Envoy 4x4 6cyl that gets worse city and highway than my 6L truck. She gets something like 14/17. I doubt the 5.3 gets worse than that.
