They are not wrong. The offset is not right. They will work but the car needs to be jacked up by the rear end and not drooped out on a lift.

I purchased my Ta with discount tire knock off Z06 wheels and the offset was about 1 inch too little. I too had to purchase spacers to get the funky offset back to normal so how are they not incorrect?

^^^ I was talking about the original post not yours. The OP has gm wheels. Wich has an incorrect offset as Discount told him.
