Default wrong rear offset :(

so i went to discount tire today had my snowflakes and tires switched to some y2k's and new tires...it turned out since i got oem wheels the rear wouldnt fit and now im going to have to get some spacers...any reccomendations on what size to get the wheel is the stock 64mm offset i believe and i was going to go with a 3/8 spacer or should i just go 1/2?? i dont know much about this but the guys at discount tire were really nice and helpful i would reccommend them to everyone its the one off 35 and pleasant run rd...please someone with some insight chime in...im thinking of just picing up a 1in wheel adapter maybe thats best, i felt pretty retarded because i had to have the rear snowflakes put back on to go home so i was rolling on 17 y2ks in the front and 16 snowflakes in the rear lol

They will fit, but just barely. I had to adjust my PHB to get the wheels to not rub (although they will still rub on hard cornering).

The wheels won't clear the bump stops, so you will need to jack the car up and support it by the frame, then jack the rear up. When you set it back down, the wheels will hang on the bump stops.

I would personally recommend 1in spacers. I've ran 1in spacers with oem y2ks before... I bought mine from this guy...

He also has some that has a lip that comes out so the wheel sits on it (just like it would the stock hub)

Get better wheels with a shallower offset, as running spacers is crazy. Many guys on her have run spacers and had issues with broken hub bolts due to little bite and lot's of stress. My opinion don't run them!!!

I personally don't like spacers, but if you have to run them, get some good quality longer lugs to ensure your lug nuts get a good bite. I'd honestly make them take the wheels back & get you a Fbody friendly offset.

If you use the "adapter style" spacer, the lugs will get more then enough bite. But I would recommend the spacer with the lip. So the wheel has something to sit on.

They fit stock.

If you do choose to run spacers, you should take Donohue's advice and purchase spacers that bolt to the hub, where the wheel bolts to the spacer. This will reduce the amount of additional stress placed on the studs compared to a traditional spacer that is placed between the hub and wheel.

i plan to run the in inch adapter hub centric...im kinda worried it might stick out to fat and cause the wheel to hit the well and damage it or something, will a 1in adapter still keep inside the well? thanks all i ordered some 1 in hub centric adapters yesterday so i will find out, i was between running a 1/4 inch spacer and seeing if i could get away with it, or replacing the stud bolts with arp 2.5 in and running a 3/8 in spacer, the easiest route seems the adapter so hopefully it will work ill let yall know...the corvette wheel i believe is a 65mm offset or atleast i see 65 on the wheel, so take away the 25mm for the adapter and i should have a 40mm offset now

When I used the 1inch adapter on my old y2ks it made them sit flush with the wheel well(they came out as far as 17x11 wheels with 50mm offset)

If you run a spacer, I highly down you'll need the bfh. but if your lowered you will prob need to roll the fender with the spacer.

You do NOT need spacers to run these wheels.

This car had 18's and 19's with no spacers

This one had 17's and 18's with no spacers

When you put these wheels on you must have the rear end supported. If the suspension is unloaded the rears will hit the bump stops. This will not allow the wheel to be bolted up.
