Default some questions on LS2

when i go back home in a month i'm going to be doing a cam swap for a buddy of mine. got a few questions though, what's a good streetable cam with a good punch to it for the LS2, also what does the stock spring lift on LS2 go up to? he doesn't want to spend the extra cash on springs, which he should. but he doesn't want to. i figured maybe a 228 to low 230s area with 600 lift area would be good for it. but i don't know how much different the 6.0 acts then the LS1... any ideas are apreciated, thanks.

i would never put a 600 lift on stock springs. he better get springs... i have an ls2 longblock in my car with a 228/236 .588/.601 114lsa. it runs pretty good.

yeah, wasn't planning on doing it on stock springs with that lift. but i was looking for something in that cat. still curious on stock lift. i was thinking maybe a 230 236, 592 601, on 112 might be pretty nice if tuned right. he's a 6 speed to so shouldn't have to much driveability problems.

yea that sounds like a good choice cam, the driveability wont be bad at all. i wish i would have put mine on a 112.

i went with 114, wish i would of done 112... but when someone pulls up i'm a little more sneaky with the 114 lol.

yea i know exactly what you mean. i am just a little diappointed with the 114. my old 220/224 .530/.534 on a 112 sounds identical to my 228/236 on a 114.

Depends on what the LS2 is in. The TBSS's seem to like the smaller durations better.
