Go to aledo they have some out their that roam around. My uncle has alot of land out their and see's them quite often. Not as often as a rabbit or deer but they do exist in the states. He actually shot and killed one by accident before mistaken it for a rabbit. It was late at night and couldn't tell.

Last thing i would do is give them food. My neighboors found baby squirels in my trees and they leave food for them every morning and the damn things wont leave.

Those are called " Crabs " and you need to shave as soon as possible. And those are not rodents. They are called Carnivores.
