Advice possibly getting a C6 Vette, Used Z06,New LS3 or Used Conv't
#41
Mine:
$57,900.00 sticker
$53,000.00 purchase price (May, 2006)
Two months ago, dealer offered $36K on a trade (toward a 2008 Z06)
Two days ago, Carmax offered $31K.
Private party value based on recent research, $36K to $38K if I'm lucky.
Two years and less than 10K miles. Once the '09s show up in a couple of months, it will go down even more.

whats the different options b/t a $42,000 C6 and a $57,900 C6?
have you checked out used Z06s? they are in the mid 50's already.

Do the build and price and you can see what comes with each package, and all the other options.
46,950 is a base model 1LT vette. 6spd manual, satin finish wheels manual passenger seat, single CD player, with factory speakers, etc.
When you jump up in packages -2,3, and 4lt, you get stuff like Heads up display, power passenger seat, home link garage door opener, perforated leather, electric telescoping steering wheel, heated seats, driver seat and outside mirror memory, Bose and 6 CD changer, leather covered dash (on the 4LT). And then, theres theres options like chrome wheels ($1800), Navigation ($1700), Dual mode exhaust, Z51 package, magnetic selective ride control, 6spd automatic transmission, etc.
Its easy to make one very expensive. Many of the coupes I sell are 2-4LT. The cheapest ones are usually around 50k sticker. Because we almost always order with chrome wheels and 6spd auto on the 1LT's.

Ya, I've checked out some dealers on Corvetteforum.
They have been selling 6sp 1LTs with Corsa for $41k-43K. One dealer was running a $39,999 deal even. I've never even bothered to check out the options cause it starts to get in to used C6 Z06 territory.

$39999 is an awesome deal and I'd be all over that hard top or conv't (new). Well I just got in and am beat but tomorrow I'm finally going to start looking and test driving in person.

I have a 3LT (memory package, heated seats/mirrors, Onstar, HUD, telescopic wheel, power driver's seats, dual zone climate controls, XM radio, etc.) with navigation, chrome wheels, Z51 performance package, A6 automatic, dual roof package, and a Bose system (which sucks). And that $57,900 sticker includes the destination fee.

The $42K price is a base 1LT.

p.s. you sold me the borla off your red Trans-Am back in the day, it was when you got true duals installed.
