Default Silly kids and their mustangs...

Ok, so just about 5 minutes ago, on my way home from work, these two guys that were about my age were riding in a '00-'04 Mustang GT with their windows down. Quite obviously stock, and they just put some rims and such on it. Well, as I pass them up, they assume I want to race. We come to a red light, and they rev their engine... right... I rev mine, and embarrass them, lol. The light turns green, and they floor it. I just take off normally, and sure enough, a cop pulls them over. Lol. As I go past them, i Rev my engine like none other. Fun times, fun times...

Not all Mustang owners. Mainly just highschool/college kids with them. They think "GT" stands for "Giant Turbo"...

It's the classic Mustang vs Fbody rivalry. I know back when I had my V6 Stang I used to have GTs rev up on me all the time.

revving isn't illegal.
"i'm sorry officer, i missed a shift" is the worst that happens.

Yeah, but that's how the laddder of pansy-ness goes.

Back when i had my little V6 mustang, a Cavalier pulls up to me and revs... i rev back, he "speeds" off, I turn right, he gets pulled over, I get a good laugh.

That part always makes me feel better.

that's actually not true. when i got pulled over one time for a little exhilarated driving a harris county sherriff's deputy informed me that the way the law is worded now almost anything can be classified as drag racing - including throwing revs at someone trying to instigate a race. i don't know, he may have just been using that as a scare tactic, and trust me he pulled me over for a lot worse than that but i for one definitely wouldn't have the ***** to do that in front of a cop. he could always let the other guy go and come get you, and even if you don't wind up getting a ticket, is it worth the hassle? especially when the other guy drives by you and laughs like "yeah, dumbass"

I had a similar experience a few years back. I was driving down 1960, and I saw about 3 Harris Co. Sheriffs in starting to pull out of a gas station parking lot, and head the direction I was going. I had a cam car with a borla open plate, so I was sure I got their attention. Shortly after I passed the sheriffs, a Camaro was tailgating the **** out of me, then decides to switch lanes and go past me WOT. I guess he didnt notice the 3 cops behind us, that is, until he got lit up by one.
