Default Wichita Falls tuning advice

Just wondering if there is anyone in or close to Wichita Falls that would be willing to point me in the right direction with my HP Tuners. I reciently did a H/C swap and now I'm into the tuning. I'm not loking to just hand over the car but would love to learn the basics from someone. I'll provide the beer/food or $, just let me know.

Did I see you sitting in the McDonalds parking lot on Kemp with a red Vette last night about 11ish? Tommy over at "the auto shop" on Call Field tunes, but I don't know if he is any good, or what he uses.

Nope, wasnt me. I havent taken it out much, I mostly just look at it sitting in the driveway.

I did talk to Tommy but he didnt have the software last time I asked him about it. Enen then he said he only did WOT tuning and the driveability tunning would be on me.

I'm just looking for a little guidance.

I'm having some driveability issues, rough idle, surging and hanging idle. I would like to work on those issues while also learning HP Tuners. Eventually I'll rent some dyno time and do the WOT tunning, but I need to know the basics before I do that. I supose if there was someone out there that wanted to do the tune on a dyno I could schedule that and compensate you for the time.

Thanks,
Doug

Well, I have EFIlive, so I am not much help, besides, I am just learning myself. You need to get that thing out to the sonic on Kemp on Fri/Sat night around 1000-1030 and meet the Vette/F-body gang if you have not done so already. You cant miss me, primer grey 63 nova.....

Thanks for offering to look at my tune. I'm having issues with my outgoing email so I'll have to post my tune here, hope that works for you. I did get rid of my hanging idle when comming to a stop by adjusting the throttle cracker table, the idle is also a lot closer but it still surges a little while in park and it will die when idleing in gear. I still have my stock stall installed but my new converter is sitting in a box ready to go. I have no idea if it makes a difference but I thought I would share.

My mods are
230/230 Cam
ported stock 853 heads
ls1 intake (holding my breath until August to see if any new intakes hit the market)
U/D Pulley
Long tubes W/ dual exhaust

Thanks again,
Doug

I keep meaning to make it out there but I either go out too early or too late. I'm taking the family on a road trip to Florida, when I get back in two weeks I'll make a point to swing by.

i dont have your year so we have to do it this way. try this one and let me know if its better or worse. just open up yours then go to compare, the open then open my tune. then go to compare differences and just right click it and copy over the differences.

Do you work out at the base by any chance? If so I would love to pick your brain also.

Outstanding! The car idles in park and drive, AC on/off. The transition from park into gear is smooth, no surging and no hanging idle when comming to a stop. Thank you very much!

I did a log incase you wanted to check it out. Looks like bank one is lean? but it was doing this before, so I'm thinking O2s? But thats just me throwing parts at a problem.

Thanks again for taking the time to help me out.

Ok so I looked again at my log and I think the O2s are ok. Should I have reset the long term fuel trims before the log? Its showing LTB1 25 and LTB2 -1.6 in the scanner. I'm assuming they should both be very close.
