Default Finally looking to buy a home!! Where to start??

Hey guys me and my fiance are looking at some options on houses online, etc. but I have no clue where to begin...

For the home owners in here, anything you guys can share what I should look into or stay away from..(realtors, areas, etc.)

She graduates this Fall 08 and I want to purchase a house by first quarter of 2009. Doing all my homework so any help is appreciated.

As far as credit, we ain't worried! Exc. scores on both of us! San Antonio Area

I heard of good things for first time home buyers where buyers can receive some good discounts or a low down payment. anyone know on this

We have the credit like I mentioned but not sure what realtors will actually help you out instead of trying to make commission ONLY. I know she loves the fieldstone homes. A buddy of mine bought one but it seems pretty small to me.

Make ABSOLUTELY sure that you have ZERO debt thats step one. You can have awesome credit but have debt and that will ruin it for you
