There's one out there that actually is a dyno test of a track. You get to see the engine on the dyno actually rev and shift like it was running a track. That one is pretty sweet.

whats funny is they now are 2.0l v8 that make 800+ hp and only weight like 1300lbs

Goes to show what engineers are capable of producing. It's all a matter of how much is spent into R&D. Each F1 car usually costs at least a few million dollars if I remember correctly.

they may rev at 20k but with their 1" stroke, they don't have near the piston speed as a prostock.

Man, i wanna put a high revving small block in a street car, but damn, the money to invest in the valvetrain is crazy.

Yeah the actual cars may "cost" that, but the amount Ferrari, Toyoto, McLaren spends on R&D in just one year is closer 500 Million as an average. I think Toyota probably spends more than any other team in F1, north of 500 million and have had lackluster results!
