Whats the best way to ship wheels/tires? and through which company?

Whats the best way to ship wheels/tires? and through which company? Should I just cut cardboard to cover the faces/rears of the wheels and tape them on there? Do you guys think I need to put something to protect the face in between the rim and the cardboard? Or should I Just put them in boxes? Which carrier usually has the best prices when shipping something like wheels?

if the card board is free ( laying around the house) why not throw it on top. ive used UPS personally. they have a store right by the house. did you sell the boyds finally?
