Default Where Is Best To Get This A/C part?

Good Evening,

I looked for a specific A/C forum but did not find it so I will post this here unless moved. I need to find the high side hose. I took the part to Landshark and they wanted $77. I've been contemplating going to find this part in a junk yard but I know that buying used stuff like this could be a bad thing since it too could also have a leak and probably the o-rings would be shot. I wanted you guys advice on where is the best place to get this in your civil opinion (smart ***'s will be ignored). I have a hook-up on this part but I don't really feel like waiting for 1meantrasham to come back from Florida on the 21st. Thank you for your input.

Anybody having one laying around for sale (local North) perhaps? I'll give you a cookie?

Gotcha, well anyways, I'm still on the hunt for this "high side" hose. Sorry, I"m very A/C knowledge challenged but I will remember that piece at least.

LOL took me about 10 seconds to figure wth you guys were talking about there. You guys are supposed to be helping me find this part, not "fantasy gambling".

Carr's, doesnt sound familiar but thanks LeadfootDuramax.

You're asking about the Manifold Hose Assembly. The Suction and Discharge lines share a common flange at the compressor. That being said the price you got from Landshark was for something else. The Manifold costs me more than that from Napa.

For a used one try Colt Auto Sales, he just parts performance stuff. It's located off Budde Rd. near Rayford-Sawdust and I-45. He's only there on weekends.

I ended up just buying mine from Landmark. I looked all over for a scrap yard part, but that hose is typically destroyed during an accident or cut with they pull the engine.

I brought the piece into Landshark and he looked up on his computer on I guess what seemed like the piece that was in stock. It could have been for something else, I wouldn't be able to tell but I appreciate your input on that, now I have something else to worry about (If he quoted me the right price or not).

Thanks again Vernon.
