How much coolant did you put back in compared to what you removed?

I can't remember exactly but it was around 2 gallons. I didn't do that method you just told me about tho and there could have easily been a bubble in the system, my car did over heat a little and I think my water pump went out like you described.

Only thing is the car still doesn't want to run. I'm probably gonna pull my belt off and see how hard it is to spin the water pump pulley. If it's frozen then I'm gonna replace it and go from there.

Sounds like you have a starting point.

Did you look at the oil?

good info Greed. still wouldn't ever catch me mixing the two sence GM says not to, and so does the bottle of DexCool.. or at least it used to. rather just stick with one kind sence there is no gain in mixing the 2.

That car had stop leak mixed in the mix too. Fixed the hole in the radiator.

Yeah I just triple checked the oil and it's clean.

There is coolant dripping off the bottom of my water pump pulley. I must have had a bubble in the system and over heated it causing the pump to go out.

But my car still doesn't want to run. I can't figure that part out....

You probably have a vaccumm hose or air inlet hose off, that why the car wont run. Check the pcv hoses also.

I just deleted my AIR and EGR last week and custom made block plates, but I checked them and they're not leaking. I need a fogger machine... Anyone from the Ft. Worth area have one?

I found out that the gasket I had for the block plate on the intake manifold started to get pulled in and caused a leak. I made a different style of gasket and that works fine.

Final Conclusion: When I flushed my radiator, I washed out the sealant someone had used to seal the weep hole in the water pump, causing it to leak. I lost enough coolant to over heat the car, and somewhere along the way, the EGR delete system got messed up.

$150 later, she's back and running.

Thanx guys. I appreciate all the help.

Glad it wasn't a head gasket.
