i'de just have him take it apart and mess with it a little bit, see if it came loose like DJ said. always hope for cheapest things first. usually ignition modules arn't cheap if it's got the chip key I.E a 2000 Alero is 160 bucks for one.

well, he's not the mechanic type..
He called me, and I am at work and wont get off until late tonight..
So.. I told him
"the worst thing he could do is break it... "

"He said, I dont wont to break it!!!!!"

I told him "too late on that one it's broke, and thats why your calling me....."

lol, now it's time to screw with him like i do with unmechanicly inclined (sp) people and tell him he has to buy a whole new set up, and at the price of a whole new set up is about the price of a new decent car.

It was a Buick Rondevuez(sp) or how ever you spell it.. Looks like one of those pontiac Aztec's
went to check it out after work last night, and it is stuck..
you cant turn the key at all..
but he told me the steering wheel would turn if you pulled hard enough on it..
I said
"what????"
So I tried it an sure enough it would..
it was hard to turn but it would.

I looked at it for a while, and eventually told him it was going to have to be towed...
it was busted good..
