anyone with snakes?
place amonia around i hear it drives thim away they hate the smell or kill it...sorry snake guys i am very scared of snakes gave me the chills just reading this.
We had a burmese python. We fed him bunnies. On Easter. And then we got to put a bunch of rats in a coffee can and put them in the freezer. Then we would throw them in the microwave to warm them up when it was feeding time. If you can get past that, it's all good. Except for cleaning their poo.

My brother has a couple. They can be pretty strange creatures. His ball python ate every Saturday for like 6 months or something and then completely stopped for about 3 weeks. Then it started eating again but only every other week. The other day he tried to feed him a little dead rat, but he just looked at it then used it as a pillow for a couple hours. Was some weird ****.

thanks marcus, i have 2 ball pythons that i got in may. they ate frozen for a few weeks then stopped all together for a month. so i started feeding live and havent had any problems since. when they get bigger the rats will for sure have to be dead for me to even handle them.

ive fed mine live. Frozen is good so they are docile, but they naturally want to hunt, that might be why they wont eat frozen, at work (petsmart) we have alot of people come in and say thier snakes wont eat frozen. Feeding her is pretty fun to watch too though

yea when they went on frozen strike, i tried over and over to keep up the frozen food. now i alternate with one of my snakes. one will eat frozen as i lower it into the feed box unlike the other.
