'Technically speaking' most people don't know all the genres of electronic music & call it all techno or 'dance' music, lol. Hell, I've listened to it for years, I'm just not into it enough to care about the 100's of sub genres. I like progressive & tribal house as well as some really dark stuff (I think they call it British house, I'm not sure) Randall Jones is pretty good, he's a Houston guy....Danny Howells, Hernan Cattaneo, Sasha, Digweed, Shaheed & Palash, Deep Dish, Satoshi Tomie, Audion, are just a few of my more favored DJ's.

Go back and read my post everyone...watch the youtube videos to hear Autechre and B.O.C.

They make these house playing DJ's sound like unoriginal turds.

Clearly only the DJ's you listen to have original (sampled from someone else most likely) material

I don't listen to much of it at all. I've heard some of the stuff from Armin Van Buren and I don't like that style of music. I think it was cool in 1997, but in my opinion, it has ran it's course.
I didn't mean to put it down. It's just not my cup of tea.

Progressive Trance/ Progressive House/etc. It goes on, different styles. AVB being my favorite, along with Ferry Corsten, Paul Oakenfold, Tiesto and more. If anyone thinks its all the same, its not. Just wish they had the big concerts here like they do in Europe.

Closes thing is in Miami.

About Blake Jarrell

"Blake Jarrell is definitely someone to look out for in the future."
-John Digweed

That future is now.
Blake took John's remarks seriously and made sure those words would ring true. With talent, determination, and sheer will through even the most testing of times, Blake has become a fully emerged and world reknown producer and DJ. At the age of 22, he's achieved more than most others do in their entire career, but Blake still takes on every day with the same yearning and determination of his first.

One thing is for sure though, you can count on every major DJ from all areas of electronic dance music to praise and hammer Blake's work. Armin Van Buuren and Gabriel & Dresden listed Blake as their "Hope for 2007" in DJ Magazine's Top 100 Poll. Tiesto even stuck Blake in his personal voting ballot. Blake is also getting repeated plays and support by the likes of Pete Tong, Matthew Dekay, Sandra Collins, Paul Oakenfold, Markus Schulz, and many others all across the board for tracks like his remixes of Snow Patrol's "Chasing Cars" (w/ Topher Jones), Anna Nalick's "Breathe", the Pink Floyd classic "Comfortably Numb", Blake's own "Glitter Gun", and Blake's Dane Cook sampling "Dood I Just Wanna Dance".

Electronic music simply doesn't have a large audience here like it does in Europe. It seems that all Americans listen to are rock and rap.

And a lot of country too. It's just not as glamorized by the media.
