Default Will a 2001 car work with a ls1 intake?

Me and my brother are switching cars, but his car is more modded than mine(i just want a six speed). I told him that I couldnt afford to buy parts for my car so they would be even right now (paying wifes school, plus kid school clothes and supplies). yhe only major thing is that his is a 2001 and mine is a 2000, so he said he would just take his intake off. Can i still run my car with a 2000 intake? Thanks guys.

Yes, just plug the EGR hole with a plumbing plug.

or a regular parts store 1 3/8 freeze plug.
there like .50 cents to a dollar
tap in place with a 24mm socket and about 3/16 deep
works excellent will never leak,

may aiso get a rubber adjustable freeze plug, no worry about tapping it in insert and tighten it with a wrench
