Those kids are trained so hard, they get to see their parents about once a year.
It is impressive a 13 year old is that good, but it's still cheating. The rules are, you must be at least 16. Obviously, this 13 year old was better than the other 16+ year old Chinese gymnasts that didn't make it. This makes the team stronger while breaking the rules. I'd be willing to bet there are 14-15 year old American girls out there that could whip up on one of our 16+ year old olympic team gymnast.

Those little Chinese girls have no life other than gymnastics. They are treated like machines. Once their gymnastic career is over, the lack of proper socialization, mental and emotional development, education, etc will hit them like a ton of bricks. And the Chinese government won't give a flip. They got their use out of them.

I was talking about last night, besides no one cares about team gymnastics.........in the individual competition we had the best 2 girls in the world and it showed.

What does everyone expect from a communist country?
I watched some of the women's gymnastics, and at least a couple of the American athletes were robbed of their scores (others got what they deserved).
But no one can deny Michael Phelps. Unbelievable.

In china the girls are taken from school and put into advanced training at the age of 3. They train them like pro athletes from then forward. What's sad is that this is the first time they have won anything. Really it is impressive how skilled they are, but there are reasons that's not allowed in the US or the olympics for that matter.
