07 6.7's are notorious for that. The 08's don't seem to have the same issues.
Brandon,
At steady highway speed, the digital read out was at 18.9 and climbing by the time I got off the highway. This was a pretty short distance too.
Douche bags that run down the highway at 90mph get 13-14mpg. LOL
Randy,
I sold the 06 a little over a week ago.

I got a buddy who has one....megacab on some 35s and he sees 15ish in mixed driving....I feel your pain tho....it is a nice looking truck tho. Hell my TBSS gets 12ish city and maybe 16-17 on the highway so I have no room to talk!

I should have got a Corolla. I'm really regretting this now.
I definitely shouldn't have taken into consideration:
Personal Preference
The current market
A good deal
Resale Value
Comfort
Styling
Room
Ability to tow anything
Ability to transport large items
Personal need for a truck in the family
Extended bumper to bumper warranty to 100k miles
$3k worth of other add-ons I probably wouldn't have ponied up for if I had bought a bone-stock truck.

I was wise enough to buy a 5.9L. Learned my gas-guzzling lesson with the '08 Duramax. That one got 14.8 mpg average. LAME.
The '06 5.9L Dodge dually gets 22 mpg hwy, average of 19.8 mpg. That is with cruising speeds of 75-80 mph. Tuner, catback, intake on it. I raced a brand new BMW 335i twin-turbo last week three times, humbled him. Those are 13.9-14.1 cars
