Default 93 Lt1 Tuners

Ok I know that it's somewhat of a lost cause, but I just got done building my 383 Lt1 Stroker. The car is a 93 and uses and EPROM and needs to have a custom chip burned. I currently have a PCMforless tune that's in the ball park but still needs a lot of tweaking. Are there any tuners in the area or sponsors that actually do these cars with dyno and a/f?

Thanks in advance,

Josh

Nope, no one touches chip cars. Mail order or Ed Wright in Oklahoma.

Man, you are better off finding a TPI tuner for that model.

****...lol. No one in this state! How do the guys running serious power Ltx combos with speed density get tuned? I'm sure they don't throw out 600rwhp nitrous numbers on mail order tunes do they?

If you get really desperate, look me up. I've done a few 93s. I have Tunercat, EPROM programmer, Moates flash chip adapter, etc. Though I'd rather just tell you what you need, and then you go buy the stuff and do it yourself. I try not to do tuning much at all, too much work for too little reward.

You'll need to spend about $400-$500 total to do it yourself (once you account for EVERYTHING). That's about the cost of a good custom tune, if you look at it that way.

http://www.moates.net has a lot of the stuff you'd need. Programmer, flash chip, ZIF socket, MEMCAL adapter, though personally I prefer AKM Cables for the data cable, Craig makes a good one too. You really want to use a flash chip, don't bother with EPROMs, they suck.

Tuned by owner, or they were built back in the late 90s.

I've heard of some pretty accurate tunes from pcm4less mail order. It seems to me like you could mail order a tune from there and adjust your FP to get the AFR closer.

I just looked at the tune in an editor and the injector flow rate is set 3.5 lbs higher than what the injectors actually are. Can that affect all the tables? It's listed in the constant/scalars table.

I mean they got it in the ball park it's just still way to rich. It wouldn't even really drive before. Their processing time sucks though and they break tons of promises about getting back to you on the phone. It's the kind of stuff you can tell when they say we will call you back it's not going to happen...

Did Alvin burn the chip? Check out speeddensity.org, and look in the computer tuning section.

Yea Alvin wrote this one as well. I don't blame him I mean come on he went from my hotcam tune to a stroked and bored 383 with a bigger cam and compression. I just wish the revisions were quicker. They got the initial pcm to me fairly quickly.
