Default Go Horns!

Nice win for the Horns tonite. FAU isn't a powerhouse, but they did go 8-5 last year and won their bowl game. Maybe next time Schnellenberger will think twice about shooting his mouth about Texas being "soft". Ask Arizona State if Texas plays soft. On to UTEP next week.

Hook'em!

Anyone have any other Big 12 scores?

Everybody in the Big XII won except Baylor and TAMU. CU plays in the Rocky Mountain Showdown tomorrow against CSU which should be another W.

Wow, a&m lost to Arky State?? Arky State? Are you kidding me?

That's bad. Real bad. Like losing 77-0 to OU and 35-34 to Baylor bad. It's going to be a long season for the ags!

come on do we have to start this already?...yeh its not looking good for the year, since this is first opener weve lost in like 20+ years...

....and arky state, its like 38-30 bad, or 12-7(defending national champions)bad....had to, sorry

and this is the same arky state that beat the national champions last year, and if i remember gave texas a run for their money...it wasn't the usual arky state lol

It's because we're getting used to it...Sad to say the least. I know when I stopped listening to the game (got busy) it was us up by like 11 so that's sad to know we lost from that.

Oh well, that's how we do it I guess...

back to horns talk, no need to bring in the ags yet.

The corners still looked young, but we have talent... as the game progressed the looked better and settled in. It sucks that our safety position is filled by 2 freshman but hopefully muschamp will mold them into our own.

McCoy looks unstoppable, very calm, selective and his speed looks great. running game is awesome... so many threats.

We finally had some pressure on the qb as well... great to see that since we have lacked that for the past 2 years.

McCoy didn't look bad in this particular game but I am worried he'll just be more of the same as last year under pressure.

I agree with Tyler about the defense. They're young. Muschamp said that he'd rather have young, inexperienced, but talented kids to work with than older, experienced kids that aren't as talented. I believe that Coach Boom will shape the Texas D into a pass rushing, punishing D as each game progresses. I also think that we'll see the same Colt McCoy as the one we saw in the 2006 season. However, Texas' schedule is brutal this year. 10-2 might be a realistic season. OU and Mizzou look like very tough games to win, and Colorado, Okie St, Tech, and Kansas won't be trips in the park.

khaos, I'm not trying to start anything at all. I was probably just as shocked as you were at that Arky St. score. We can both relate to losing to an inferior team, can't we?

werd.

to be honest I don't think we will see the sophomore season McCoy... I chalk it up to a slump.

He looked to gain a little more weight, picked up great speed (shown by getting around the corner and the 100+ yards rushing).

things look great for this season, and even better for 09.

i think the ags should focus on trying to win more than 7 games versus worrying about us horns.

I am gonna take a break from A&M this year and just watch the Cowboys. They just suck too damn much for me to invest my time and hopes in. I might check them out if they start Jerod Johnson at QB just to see what happens.

At least the UT fans didn't have a 1:15 hour rain delay after paying $29.99 to watch it. . .
