Gold SS Camaro?

I almost bought a gold SS ttop car. It has the single exit exhaust and was bone stock for 8k. It was an M6 even!
Only reason I passed is I had to take a long look if i wanted ANOTHER 4th gen and a gold one at that. I will look around and see if I can find the pics of it.
They are def rare, i've only seen 1 in person and that was in DFW area.

I think there were 235 T/A's and 17 T/A verts (of those numbers only 46 were WS6s; coupe and vert mixed and don't quote me on the WS6 numbers!!). I couldn't find anymore of a breakdown.

** A total of 5 Z28 Coupes were built in the 1999 model year in color 63U Sport Gold metallic. While Sport Gold was discontinued near the end of the model run in 1998, a contract had been signed between Chevrolet and Days Inn for a sweepstakes where the final prize was a Sport Gold Z28 Coupe. While the sweepstakes ran in the spring and summer of '98, the contract specified a 1999 Z28. Thus GM built 5 1999s for this sweepstakes. Two units were given away, the other three were driven by GM executives and then disposed of through the GM auction system.
UPDATE 3-22-00 - One of the 5 1999 Sport Gold metallic Z28 coupes has been located in the Chicago area, severely damaged with 17,396 miles on the odometer.

my buddy has a gold z28 hardtop. When its clean its gold and when its dirty its pewter.
