I'll second that and I live here. And in addition, the hurricane seem to bring out the bottom 10% of the worst drivers in Houston. Its amazing to me that 'some' of these people can walk and breath at the same time.

Winds picked up alot just in the last 30 minutes

 

ppl see rain and water and freak the f*%$ out......

 

Read a report that an oil rig saw sustained winds of 135 MPH. The rig is 400ft up in the air though so it doesnt really count. The downtown buildings are going to be pretty smashed up tomorrow.

 

Just went down to Katy, stopped in at Frank-n-Stein's bar and grill, yes, they are open. Decided to drive down I-10 into Brookshire and check stuff out then returned to Katy. Everything is closed and the roads are nearly empty, if it wasn't for all this dang wind - there could be some great racing going on. We could have even done a LS1tech cruise into San Antonio at like 100+ mph.

i'm on mason and i keep having people flying down the street at over 50. i'd be different if there was a reason but come on people its residential.

 

I hate work with a passion at times but seeing all the galveston footage is making me sick, seeing that I work on the seawall. I am going to try to get into galveston tomorrow when it settles down and if I even can to see what is even going to be left of the store. I cant imagine the devestation thats going to be down there.

Yeah, the damage looks like it's going to be pretty extensive. Lots of neighborhoods are already flooded out. Hope your store is ok.

 

you may not be able to get there for a few days after this storm blows by. im really hoping that no major roads or bridges going there get washed away.

Seriously, its starting to come in here wind wise. Suppose to start hitting hard around 9:00-10:00 pm they say.

 

i will seriously give some one $100 to come get my mother in law out of my house. i tried to lure her outside and lock the door behind her but someone let her back in. OMG cabin fever!
